This three hour workshop is designed to guide a youth ministry leadership team through the process of articulating, clarifying and casting a vision for developing a ministry that cultivates a deep impact faith within youth. Based on Andy Stanley's revolutionary book 'Visioneering', veteran youth ministry consultant Duane Smith will professionally coach your team through a fun process of developing a ministry advancement plan complete with clear and attainable short and long term goals.

  

Cultivating Deep Impact Youth Ministries

Designed as a three or six hour workshop, this hands-on presentation will guide your team through the process of evaluating your current youth ministry approach and comparing your methods to current studies with demonstrated results. The process will help your team rethink popular strategies and dig deeply into reimagining a holistic approach to working with youth. The ultimate goal will be to help your team cultivate an approach that fosters a deep, sustainable faith within youth that will guide them into emerging adulthood.

  

One Size Doesn't Fit All

This fun two hour presentation evaluates the learning styles of youth and the reality that most learn in different ways. Despite this fact, most youth ministries take a middle of the road, 'one size fits all' approach. As a result, many youth check out in the early high school years, believing that the typical youth group is simply not relevant to their world. This workshop will help your group implement a multi-faceted approach that connects with different youth and different points of spiritual development.

  

Understanding Today's Youth Culture

The world of youth is constantly changing a rapid pace. Keeping up with what's happening in youth culture is a daunting and challenging task, yet to know them is to know their world. This three hour workshop will evaluate the changing realities impacting the world of youth and further prepare you to be a student of culture. You'll leave with hands on tools that will equip you to use the culture effectively to connect and communicate with youth.

  

Equipping Students as Emerging Leaders

Far too often we hear that youth are the future of the church. This is true, but if they're not around, they?re not likely to be the future. Youth are the 'now' of the church and they are motivated and ready to make a difference with their lives. We must begin to cultivate ministries that help youth identify, develop and deploy their spiritual gifts in active service within their church and community. This three hour workshop will present your leadership team with various ways to begin and develop an effective student leadership development plan.

  

Developing and Leading an Effective Mission Trip

Developing and leading a mission trip can be an anxious and overwhelming endeavor. Yet, the mission trip experience is one of the most effective components in transforming students from passive observers to active participants in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Designed specifically for volunteer-led youth ministries, this workshop will provide you with the necessary tools to take a mission trip from point 'A' to point 'Z'. Additionally, many excellent opportunities will be presented in a variety of locations and various cost levels.

  

Ten Components of an Effective Youth Meeting

What constitutes an effective youth group meeting? How do you measure whether a group meeting knocked it out of the park on fizzled and bombed? Youth ministry consultant Duane Smith will present your team with ten critical components of an effective youth group meeting and how to know if your time together was valuable and meaningful. Your team will come away from this two hour presentation with key tools for turning every group meeting into a quality experience.
